A merry Yule/Christmas/whatever to you all!


an explaination for everyone who thinks: "this is autumn, not yule" ...
the brown leave in the background indeed represents autumn. yet the green lines represents the grass of spring. The purple keeps it all together and represents winter (because for me purple is real winter colour). It shows winter and Yule as the time between autumn and spring, as some sort of a bridge, as the turning point between destruction and growing. same for her corset btw. I just love the combination of purple and brown, I think it's magical and Yule is a time when the magic seems very close to us because it remains in a time when everything seems to die. So I used a lot of brown, though I know it's more an autumn colour. For me this just has got a different meaning when it's combined with purple.
