Poetry without words...

... is art!

(and somethings went reaaaaally wrong with submitting it to dA. Hope it did work)

hihi this is my second oil painting! ^^
this is the first part of a school project. (second part: [link]) I had to paint a photo as realistic as possible. Now this is a bit hard for you to decide whether that worked out good, because (yes, again) I don't know anymore where I got the photo from (you see, I couldn't open a folder of my computer anymore where it was in -_- so I lost all the photos I wanted to use as references). well to say - there are mistakes in it, but since I'm still a bit afraid of painting, I can be happy with it.
I am at least veeeeeeeeeeery glad I finished this one, I have been working on it since the beginning of the year and had some bad luck with it. Someone had laid his own drawing upon my painting while the paint was still wet. So I could paint the background again and a big part of the skin was full of black stripes and spots :'( I had to make a thicker basis layer which took me more time. The second time I wanted to work on my painting - It had happened AGAIN *angry angry* what a couple of asocial assholes at my school!!! >_< So my teacher gave me another place to save my painting
Thanks to the atelier lessons at the artist's house, it was easier to work with the paint and I even liked it xD Was lovely to work on it while listening classical music ^^
And I mean... it really is a very beautiful photo!! I've been searching on the net for hours and hours before I found something I really liked, since I think it's sooo boring to just exactly copy. So it really had to be something that fits the idea of what I wanted to paint. I remember the photo was made with the though behind it of old poetry (Shakespeare I thought) and it has such a nice renaissance-ish feeling ^^ I really need to find that photo back

Now.... up to the second part (which will be this painting but then different, with adding of my own favourite poem - The Raven, by E. A. Poe Hope it will work out)
